Pieter Oosthuizen’s art demonstrates a unique creative depth and confident artistic style. Each painting reveals a new facet of his observation in the power of a lion, the intensity of a portrait or the softness of a figure.
Pieter developed his own distinctive with the bold use of colour juxtaposing bright powerful values or shades. This strong contrast evokes emotion in the viewer and creates a dynamic visual experience that immediately captures attention.
He uses both acrylic and oil paint and chooses subjects that carry meaning and invite the viewer to look and think more deeply. His art is not only visually striking, but also emotionally and substantively rich.
About
As an engineer and project manager, Pieter travelled the world building bridges, freeways and power stations. He devoted his career to creating structure that connects people.
The time was never there to engage in his passion for art. This changed in 2019 when he started painting at the behest of an artist friend. He found momentum, a dream that had been waiting beneath the surface. The paint brush became his new instrument rather than engineering or project management.
Pieter accepts commissions of references submitted by clients for painting. All unsold paintings are on permanent exhibit. Please contact us for information.
